Today, I run Pet Stays with the support of my business partner, Reza, and together we strive to offer each dog a calm, loving “home away from home.” My experience extends to working with Customs Labradors, raising and caring for them during their early training stages. Two of these incredible dogs became permanent members of my family—one of whom battled a rare illness called cryptococcosis, which taught me a great deal about patience, specialised care, and the emotional depth of the human–dog bond. Before launching Pet Stays full-time, I spent 15 years at Qantas, until redundancy opened the door to grow my part-time boarding service into the thriving business it is today. My earlier career also included work in retail buying, marketing, and even a stint as a florist—roles that honed my eye for detail and passion for creating meaningful experiences. I’m also committed to supporting rescue groups—both locally in Australia and overseas—whenever and however we can. Whether through temporary care, promotion, or practical support, helping vulnerable dogs find safety and love is deeply important to me. Through this blog, I share real-world stories, helpful tips, and insights from my life with dogs—all written from the perspective of someone who lives and breathes it every day.
